About Us

Jack Wellman has been in management positions in the staffing industry since 1986.  He currently is the President and Chief Operating Officer of Joulé Inc., joining the company in March 1998.   Joulé is a growing regional and national provider of a full range of temporary staff, direct hire, and other outsourcing services – specializing in engineering, scientific, clerical/corporate support, industrial, marketing/creative/interactive, and telecommunications staffing. Since 1998 Joulé has increased its sales by over 200% and expanded into several new markets through both organic and acquisitive growth.

He has been involved for 20+ years in national and state trade associations representing the Staffing Industry, believing that active and positive involvement is a responsibility, not a choice, for individuals who have invested their time, talent and futures in this great industry.  Currently he is active in the American Staffing Association and on the Boards of the National Association of Personnel Services and the New Jersey Staffing Alliance.

Born in Boston, living his early life in South Carolina, he received his BA degree in Economics from Davidson College (Davidson, NC) in 1970 and a MBA from Harvard Business School in 1974 (yes, former US President George W. Bush graduated from HBS a year later – and Jack really didn’t know him!).

Believing that QUALITY and CREDENTIALS are important (would you want a person who failed medical school to do your operation instead of a board certified surgeon?) he is a strong supporter of certification programs in the staffing industry and personally has earned the following certifications issued by both national staffing associations: Certified Staffing Professional, Technical Services Certified, Certified Personnel Consultant and Certified Temporary Staffing Specialist.

Having two daughters and numerous relatives asking him for career counseling assistance and advice, he recognized that individuals who may be experts and highly successful in their fields are clueless in maneuvering through the great unknown of getting the next job.  His 20+ years of helping thousands directly and indirectly succeed in their careers (along with others in the staffing industry) are just what is needed by anyone searching for sensible, caring expertise to survive this extremely challenging phase of their lives.

Otherwise he is said by many to be “nice and smart, but frankly too honest and direct.”  Isn’t that exactly what is needed?
